A Delegation from Xijiu Group Visits Tianjin University of Science and Technology for Exchange and Discussion
On April 15, a delegation from Xijiu Group visited Tianjin University of Science and Technology for an exchange and discussion session. Lu Fuping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the university, members of the college's leadership team, and some teacher representatives attended the meeting, which was chaired by Du Yangang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Biotechnology.
Lu Fuping extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Xijiu Group and introduced the university's historical evolution, disciplinary characteristics, scientific research development, as well as its research strengths in the field of biological engineering. He stated that Tianjin University of Science and Technology and Xijiu Group have a solid foundation for cooperation, with substantive collaborative achievements in the field of microbiology research. He hoped that both parties could further integrate their advantageous resources and engage in pragmatic cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, technological innovation, and achievement commercialization, achieving common development through mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
Wan Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and General Manager of Xijiu Group, expressed gratitude for the university's long-standing support and shared the outstanding achievements attained by Xijiu Group. He mentioned that the purpose of this visit was to strengthen and deepen cooperation with Tianjin University of Science and Technology, leveraging the university's scientific research capabilities to enhance the company's core competitiveness and jointly address industry challenges.
Zhang Cuiying, Associate Dean of the College of Biotechnology, introduced the research strengths of the college's majors, such as fermentation engineering and pharmaceutical engineering, as well as significant breakthroughs achieved in areas like brewing microbiology research and the establishment of a liquor quality evaluation system. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on microbiology research, scientific research innovation, and talent cultivation, and reached preliminary cooperation intentions regarding joint scientific research projects and the co-construction of innovation platforms.
