To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the subsequent plenary sessions, fully implement the general requirements for Party building in the new era, closely align with the deployment of the university's "3510" strategic plan, and solidly promote the effective implementation of the "Pioneer Program", the College of Biotechnology, under the guidance of the university Party School, recently held the 23rd training session for Party development candidates and the 40th training session for probationary Party members. A total of 51 development candidates and 38 probationary Party members participated in this training. The training covers three interconnected modules: theoretical foundation building, red spirit cultivation, and discussion-driven empowerment, guiding participants to consolidate their faith foundation through political experience, strengthen their ideals and convictions through theoretical enrichment, and refine firm Party spirit through the integration of knowledge and action.

In the theoretical training session, Huang Xuefeng, Party Secretary of the School of Marxism, delivered a special lecture titled Uphold the Correct View of Political Achievements, Practice the Pioneer Spirit to Deliver Solid Results. Combined with the disciplinary characteristics of the College of Bioengineering, the course took the advanced deeds of industry scientific research pioneers who overcame interdisciplinary challenges and dedicated themselves to academic research as examples, guiding young students to cultivate a persistent spirit of in-depth exploration. Meanwhile, through the analysis of both positive and negative typical cases, it explained the core essence of the correct view of political achievements rooted in Party spirit, centered on the people, and oriented toward high-quality development, which echoes the practical requirements of the university's "Top Tust".

In the red-themed film viewing session, the college organized all participants to watch the red film 1921 collectively. The film vividly reproduces the historical scenes in the early days of the founding of the Communist Party of China, showcasing the revolutionary predecessors' dedication to serving the country and courage to take on missions. After the film viewing, the participants actively exchanged their thoughts. They stated that they would keep the original aspiration of the predecessors in mind, combine the characteristics of the biology major, and translate the revolutionary spirit into practical actions to serve the country through scientific research.

In the themed discussion session, participants were divided into groups to conduct in-depth exchanges around six topics: how to promote the implementation of the university's "3510" strategic plan, how to practice the new development philosophy to drive the university's high-quality development, how to align personal career planning with national needs, how to practice the Party's tenets based on the "Pioneer Program", how to drive fellow students to foster a good academic atmosphere and school ethos, and how to standardize their own online speech and behavior to be qualified guardians of a clean cyberspace. Combining their professional studies, scientific research practices and campus experiences, the participants shared their insights, identified gaps, and clarified directions, further deepening their understanding of the standards for Party members.

This training concluded successfully under the overall guidance of the university Party School. The participating trainees stated that they will take this training as a new starting point, always bear in mind the political standards, translate the theoretical gains into practical actions, abide by the original aspiration for Party membership, improve their capabilities in professional learning, refine their conduct in daily services, strictly demand themselves with the standards of Party members, and contribute their youthful strength to the high-quality development of the university.
