On December 30, the College of Biotechnology held the 2025 new faculty training session in Conference Room 208, Building 2, Middle Campus of Binhai Campus. College leaders, heads of relevant departments and outstanding teacher representatives attended to share experiences, with more than 30 newly recruited faculty members participating in the session. The meeting was presided over by Liang Houming, Vice Dean of the college.

At the training session, Du Yangang, Party Secretary of the college, thoroughly interpreted the core connotation and far-reaching significance of the university's "3510" strategic project. He pointed out that as a backbone force in the university's development, the College of Biotechnology should further carry forward its fine traditions, continue the spirit of striving, continuously strengthen team building, and integrate the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education into the whole process of teaching and education. He required newly recruited teachers to proactively integrate their personal career plans into the overall development of the university, achieve in-depth integration in teaching, scientific research and talent cultivation practices, and strive to become active practitioners of the university's Top Tust and strong contributors to its career development.

Zhang Cuiying, Vice Dean, comprehensively introduced the college's development history, discipline layout, faculty team and development plans, helping new faculty systematically understand the college's overall situation and development orientation, and enhancing their sense of belonging and mission.

At the training session, three teachers Zhang Chenglin, Liu Fufeng and Meng Xuan shared their experiences respectively in the construction of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, the responsibilities of postgraduate supervisors, and the application for the Youth Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Vice Dean Liang Houming publicized the laboratory safety management system, emphasizing operation specifications and risk prevention and control. Li Hongliang, Discipline Inspection Secretary of the college, introduced student work and carried out teacher ethics education combined with typical cases. Teachers in charge of relevant college departments respectively interpreted the responsibilities of undergraduate teaching, the management rules of the analysis and testing platform, and the policies and procedures for talent application.

This training features systematic, comprehensive and highly targeted content, covering core work areas such as teaching, scientific research, safety, student work, teacher ethics and personal development planning. It effectively helps new faculty clarify their job responsibilities, master key skills, lay a solid foundation for their career development, and inject new impetus into the high-quality connotative development of the college.

The College of Biotechnology will continue to strengthen the construction of the faculty team, improve the faculty training system, support the growth and development of new faculty, and jointly promote the college's talent cultivation and scientific research undertakings to a new level.
