To thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on "valuing family, family education, and family traditions", fully tap the red cultural resources of the university's history, guide young Party members to foster deep patriotism, inherit the fine family traditions of predecessors in the university's history, and give full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of student Party members, the First Undergraduate Party Branch of Bioengineering in the First Student Community of Bioengineering organized and carried out the themed Party day activity of "Resilient Hearts Pass Down Family Traditions, Pioneers Nurture Young Minds". Party members of the branch went to the Haihe Academy in Binhai New Area, conducted special lectures on red family traditions for teenagers and parents at the academy, and revitalized the red resources of the university's history through Party building volunteer services, allowing the exemplary family traditions of the university's historical figures to influence grassroots families.

This lecture was delivered by Zhang Yanghao, a Party member of the branch. Based on the profound history of the university, he deeply explored red cultural materials and selected two benchmark figures from the university's history to interpret the family traditions of the predecessors. The second figure was Zhu Ying, a reporter for Guangming Daily and a revolutionary martyr. The lecture recalled her heroic deeds of adhering to her beliefs and devoting herself to the country, told the spiritual background of loyalty, purity and selfless dedication of red families, and interpreted the original aspiration of serving the country behind the red family traditions. Relying on vivid stories from the university's history, the speaker explained the practical significance of exploring red culture and inheriting the fine family traditions of predecessors, clarified that fine family traditions are the foundation for nurturing patriotism, and play an important role in the cultivation of teenagers' character and the construction of family civilization.
