Behind this honor lies the vivid practice of the college Party committee leading high-quality institutional development with high-quality Party building —— by anchoring the university's "3510" strategic project and thoroughly implementing the "Top Tust", it has gradually built a new Party building work pattern of "two-way empowerment and three-level linkage", effectively transforming the advantages of Party building into development momentum, and writing an inspiring development report of the "100-million-yuan College".

The college Party committee adheres to integrating the overall leadership of the Party into the whole process of running the college, and establishes an integrated mechanism for the simultaneous planning, deployment, promotion and assessment of Party building and institutional development. All discipline plans and major projects go through the closed-loop process of "academic demonstration — political review — collective resolution". All Party branches are established in scientific research teams, industrial platforms and front-line teaching positions. Closely aligned with the goals of the "3510" strategic project, the college has promoted the Light Industry Technology and Engineering discipline to be selected into the Tianjin Top Discipline Cultivation Plan, made Agricultural Science rank among the top 1‰ of ESI global rankings, and both Bioengineering and Pharmaceutical Engineering have been selected into the national first-class undergraduate major development program. In 2024 and 2025, the scientific research funding exceeded 100 million yuan for two consecutive years, making it the first "100-million-yuan College" among Tianjin municipal universities. In the past five years, it has obtained more than 100 national-level projects and 35 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research awards, successfully translating academic papers into industrial productivity.
