On April 22, a delegation from Tianjin Bio Biotechnology Co., Ltd. visited Tianjin University of Science and Technology for discussion and exchange. Relevant responsible personnel and faculty representatives from the College of Biotechnology attended the meeting, which was presided over by Zhang Cuiying, Vice Dean of the College of Biotechnology.

Xu Qinhu, Chief Consultant of Tianjin Bio Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Dean of Jin Bio Research Institute, systematically introduced the development history of Jin Bio and the scientific research strategic layout of the Research Institute, and selected 5 open topics for the Joint Herbal Fermentation Laboratory. He fully affirmed the phased achievements made by the project leaders in the early stage, and put forward practical optimization plans focusing on the subsequent key directions. He expects all project leaders to deeply understand the research characteristics and key bottlenecks of the topics, and make every effort to accelerate the R&D breakthrough and industrialization implementation of the products.

Zhang Cuiying introduced the College's history, disciplinary characteristics and scientific research layout. She said that the College has yielded a series of fruitful results in metabolic fermentation, biomedicine and other fields, with strong academic accumulation and resource advantages. In the future, the College will continue to optimize the efficiency of scientific research services, strengthen in-depth collaboration, and ensure the efficient and precise implementation of all cooperation projects.

Faculty representatives from the College of Biotechnology respectively reported the phased scientific research progress and core achievements obtained in relevant research fields.
