To strictly control the "entry threshold" for Party members, consolidate the ideological foundation of Party activists, help them rectify their motivation for joining the Party and strengthen their ideals and convictions, the Party Committee of the College of Biotechnology held the 16th training course for Party activists from April 7 to 17. The systematic Party spirit education and cultivation was carried  out through a combination of theoretical learning, special tutoring, red-themed film viewing and practical activities.

‌Role Model Guidance to Strengthen Conviction, Learn from Advanced Examples to Promote Growth‌

On April 7, Li Jiayun from the Party Building Center led the trainees to delve into the advanced deeds of Academician Cheng Bowen. Focusing on key areas such as scientific research breakthroughs in bio-based materials, transformation of scientific research achievements and talent cultivation, the session guided trainees to take scientific pioneers as their benchmarks, firm their ideals and convictions, hone professional skills and strengthen their sense of responsibility. Afterwards, Ms. Li Xueying, the Party affairs secretary, gave a special tutoring session on the full process of Party member       development, clarified the specifications for relevant documents and key time nodes, and emphasized the discipline requirements for training assessments.

On April 9, a special training session focusing on the original aspiration for Party membership and Party spirit cultivation was held. Wu Shuhui, a postgraduate student from the School of Marxism, combined typical cases to guide trainees to uphold the people-centered stance, foster deep feelings for the people, and always treat their studies and daily life with a down-to-earth, pragmatic and responsible attitude. Ms. Guo Yan, the full-time Party organization staff, emphasized that all Party activists must truly rectify their motivation for joining the Party, take the initiative to connect with Party branches, actively participate in organizational activities, earnestly complete all training and assessment tasks, and accept the test of the Party organization with excellent conduct and practical actions.

‌                                                                                 Watch Red Films to Recall Original Aspiration, Forge Ahead with Resolve to Fulfill Mission‌

On April 10, all trainees collectively watched the red film The Founding of a Party. They revisited the extraordinary years when the Communist Party of China was born, grew and forged ahead in the dark and turbulent era, and deeply appreciated the lofty spirit of revolutionary predecessors who strived unremittingly and dared to sacrifice for their ideals and convictions. Through this immersive film-watching learning experience, they further inherited the red gene, carried forward the red bloodline, and strengthened their ideal and conviction of following the Party unswervingly.

 ‌                                                                                              Study, Reflect and Practice to Uphold Original Aspiration, Take Action to Fulfill Mission‌

Each discussion group of Party activists carried out in-depth themed seminars on topics including the university's "3510" strategic plan, the "Pioneer Program" and the original aspiration and mission of Party members, so as to fully improve the effectiveness of learning and education. Meanwhile, themed practical activities such as visits to red education bases were organized, to deepen Party spirit cultivation through on-site research and practical training, and effectively achieve the goal of promoting reflection through learning and putting insights into practice.

This training, with a distinct theme and rich content, has effectively improved the theoretical literacy, ideological awareness and Party spirit cultivation of the Party activists. The trainees all stated that they will take this training as a new starting point, stick to their original aspiration and mission, hone excellent capabilities, draw closer to the Party organization with more enthusiasm and more pragmatic conduct, strive to grow into qualified Communist Party members, and contribute their youthful strength to the great journey of serving the country through science and technology, serving the people and realizing national rejuvenation.
