Research Direction

1. Reverse synthesis approach guiding new drug design and high-throughput virtual screening, as well as computer simulation and mechanism exploration of biological reaction processes.

2. Efficient separation and preparation techniques for effective components of traditional Chinese medicine, and studies on their pharmacological activities and mechanisms of action.

3. Interactions between linear starch macromolecules and bioactive components, and key control technologies for functionalization of common foods and staple foods.

4. Intelligent responsive drug delivery systems and biomaterials for precise diagnosis and treatment of tumors, thrombosis, periodontal disease, and skin disorders.

5. Nanoenzymes, food hazard/function factor detection, and bioanalysis and sensing for advanced diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

6. Development of bioactive compounds in food, TCM, functional foods, gut microbiota, and natural product isolation.

Scientific research projects and achievements

The team is responsible for many scientific research projects including the National 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation, and provincial and ministerial projects.
